At a press conference, Milosavljevic said that Adecco deals with various activities – from the mediation between unemployed persons and companies to providing companies with a temporary workforce, and added that the Adecco group had been among the first 20 domestic and foreign private agencies of this kind that started operating in Serbia in 2003.
Recalling that there are nearly a million unemployed persons in Serbia, Milosavljevic expressed conviction that the beneficial cooperation between this agency and the National Employment Service (NES) will contribute to the reduction of this number.
Adecco’s Director for Southeastern Europe Stephan Longo said that this company has 6,000 offices in more than 70 countries around the world.
This Zurich-based company has an annual revenue of €17.2 billion and sends out 700,000 people on job assignments every day, making it the fourth largest employer in the world, Longo said.
As a novelty in the company’s activities, Longo pointed out its sports programme, which allows people who have spent, as he said, the best years of their lives achieving sport results, to find permanent employment.
