Brnabic said that this company, as one of the largest exporters, is an important partner of the Serbian government.
According to the Prime Minister, this company's work on research and development of new scientific and technological achievements aimed at reducing the negative impact of tobacco industry is opening new cooperation prospects.
The successful collaboration of the Serbian government and Philip Morris has already started to concretise through StarTech, a programme of support to innovation and digital transformation financed by this company.
This programme is an example of support which private sector can provide to the government in the process of digitalisation of the entire company, the Prime Minister underlined.
Olczak explained that this reason of his visit to Serbia is precisely the government's commitment to science-based transformation, research and development and progressive technological solutions.
I believe that similar visions and plans can contribute to further development of cooperation, bearing in mind Philip Morris' decision to continue to base its business operations in Serbia, as the centre of SEE region, he concluded.
Olczak's visit is the first visit of a Philip Morris CEO to Serbia.
