Industrial production achieved a 7.8% growth in the period January-July. Its most important sector, processing industry, recorded a 8.6% growth, whereas energy sector grew by 7.4% in relation to the same period of last year.
Based on projections, all industries are expected to grow in relation to the same period of 2020. According to estimates, the real GDP growth in the second quarter of 2021, in relation to the same period of last year, stands at 13.7%.
The works are going as planned in the sector of road and rail infrastructure. Some of the projects whose beginning is planned by the end of this year were examined, such as the Pozarevac-Golubac road and the Belgrade-Zrenjanin road. The formation of a working group which will analyse and propose the expansion of border crossings has been agreed on.
As for the environmental protection sector, the current projects of wastewater treatment and the replacement of boilers in heating plants were discussed, with the special emphasis on the Kragujevac heating plant.
When it comes to health infrastructure, the works on the construction of Tirsova II will start, whereas the works on the Clinical Centres in Belgrade and Novi Sad are going as planned.
The problems that arise during the realisation of certain projects are removed on the ground and in the shortest time possible.
