Brnabic was appointed president of the Coordination Body, and Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Gordana Comic was appointed deputy president of that body.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the improvement of the position of Roma men and women and their inclusion in society is of exceptional importance for Serbia and that, in accordance with that, a lot of time, effort and resources have been invested in order to improve their quality of life.
She underlined that the relevant ministry can do a lot in that field and that efforts to improve the quality of life of Roma men and women are important not only because of respect for human rights and European integration, but also because Serbia wants to create just such a social environment for all members of national minorities living in it.
Comic pointed out that the coordination of the work of the ministries is of exceptional importance for the implementation of various activities in the field, and cited the immunization of Roma men and women, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, as a positive example.
The Minister also announced that the Strategy will be revised by the end of the year, which will thus be harmonised with the European framework.
