Volume of investments in the economy increases significantly

In the third quarter of 2021, the dynamics of realisation of all initiated projects in industrial and economic areas is going according to plan and the most important indicators are satisfactory, it was said today at a session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for Gross Domestic Product Growth (GDP), chaired by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

The Prime Minister pointed out that it is necessary to continue with such trends, noting that the volume of investments in the economy has significantly increased in relation to the first two quarters.

A growth of 13.4 percent was recorded in the second quarter, while for the whole year, the growth is expected to be over 6.5 percent.

When it comes to industry, after a slower growth during May and June, the recovery is certain and visible, there is an increase in services sector too, while the increase in inflation should not be a reason for worry because it is caused by rising prices of liquid fuels and fuel oil worldwide, is was said at the session held at the Serbian government.

In the field of infrastructure, all works on the ground are in full swing and are going according to plan, the relevant minister stated.

Health infrastructure projects are also in the expected volume.

Environmental projects are among priorities, including the construction of a total of eight regional recycling centres.

The most important among them is the Kolubara-Kalenic regional recycling centre, whose construction is expected according to the plan at the beginning of next year.
