From the historical ties of our two countries, the foundations for successful and comprehensive bilateral cooperation have been created. I am convinced that in the next period, the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of France, both bilaterally and multilaterally, will develop even more successfully in the mutual interest, it is stated in Selakovic's letter.
Also, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that France will continue to support the efforts of Serbia in reforms in the field of rule of law, with a view to future membership in the European Union, as well as commitment to the values of the International Organisation of Francophonie whose full member it wants to become.
Selakovic sent best wishes to France for recovery from the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, expressing confidence that France will emerge from these difficulties stronger and more ready to fight the global challenges facing civilization, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
