Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic arrived today on a three-day official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki Mohamed.

Stefanovic starts official visit to Egypt

Stefanovic was welcomed at the airport in Cairo by the commander of the Central Military Zone, Major General Kalid Ahmed, Ambassador of Serbia to Egypt Jugoslav Vukadinovic and military envoy Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Bogdanovic.
A meeting between the two defence ministers is planned for tomorrow, after which the two officials will sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of defence, which will create conditions for further development and improvement of relations between Serbia and Egypt.
Tomorrow, Stefanovic will also lay wreaths at the monument to the Unknown Soldier and near the tomb of Egyptian President Anwar el Sadat in Cairo, and he will have the opportunity to visit the Panorama Memorial of the Sixth October War.
On the third day of the visit, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence will visit one of the factories of the Egyptian defence industry, the International Medical Centre and the special ranger unit "777".
