Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today in Indjija the laying of the foundation stone for the new production plant of the Grundfos factory, which produces pumps for heating, air conditioning, water supply, wastewater and dosing pumps.
Brnabic, who visited the production plant, stated that, in addition to the approximately 900 currently workers in this factory, the new plant will create an opportunity to increase the number of workers.
She pointed out that Indjija is one of the best European locations for investment, adding that with this investment, Grundfos exceeds the number of 1,000 employees and becomes the third largest factory of that company in the world.
The competition was huge, but the local employees did a lot and enabled a new investment and for the company to expand here, and not elsewhere, the Prime Minister emphasized.
She said that for Grundfos, the coronavirus epidemic did not seem to exist, because production and exports in 2020 were higher than in 2019.
