Members of security forces in Kraljevo handed over keys to apartments

Belgrade, 14 June 2021

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today in the settlement of Ribnica in Kraljevo the handing over of the keys to newly built apartments, which members of the security forces, who did not have a housing issue resolved, could buy under more favourable terms.

On that occasion, Brnabic expressed her gratitude to the members of the security forces and their families for everything they do every day for our country and its citizens, as well as for choosing this difficult and challenging profession.

The Prime Minister said that the demand for apartments in other cities, such as Belgrade, Novi Sad and Vranje, was much higher than in Kraljevo.

Recalling that today marks the 22^nd anniversary of the Battle of Kosare, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic said that it is important to always show gratitude to the soldiers.

According to him, in addition to raising the standard of living, providing a roof over one's head is the crown of raising our army to its feet again.

Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin pointed out that in this way, the state wants to repay the members of the security services for their sacrifice and 24-hour work for the safety of the citizens.

Mayor of Kraljevo Predrag Terzic announced that two buildings with a total of 200 apartments have been completed, adding that a completely new elementary school "St. Sava" will be built in the settlement, as well as a kindergarten.

Security Intelligence Agency Director Bratislav Gasic also attended today's handing over of keys.

The construction of apartments for members of the security forces will be performed in two phases – in the first phase, the construction of 6,943 apartments is planned in Vranje, Nis, Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica and Belgrade.
