Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that our country will end 2021 with the best economic results in Europe because our economic growth will amount to approximately seven percent.
In a statement for Television “Prva”, Brnabic said that this is due to the fact that Serbia had almost the best economic results in Europe in 2020, almost the smallest drop in GDP of 0.9 percent and an increase in net employment, although the general global trend is rising unemployment.
"Serbia has the largest projects and one of the best results, we have at least four regional projects that should be realised by the end of the year or the beginning of next, and one of the most important is the Highway of Peace connecting Nis, Pristina, Tirana and the Port of Duress," she said.
The Prime Minister announced that salaries and pensions will be increased at the end of the year, emphasising that the average salary in Serbia by 2025 will be €900 and the average pension between €430 and €440.
As for the coronavirus epidemic, the Prime Minister said that a total relaxation of measures will take place once Serbia has vaccinated 60 percent of its population and added that we are stagnating by the number of those vaccinated because we are still at 48 percent.
