In order to strengthen the economy and economic ties after the crisis caused by the pandemic of COVID-19, the possibilities of new joint infrastructure and energy projects and investments were discussed.
Brnabic pointed out that the modernisation of the railway between Subotica and Szeged, which is expected to be completed next year, has been declared a project of special importance for Serbia and a key project of the two countries.
Szijjarto underlined that there is a great interest of Hungarian investors in investing in Serbia, as well as of the government of Hungary to build a strategic partnership with Serbia through such projects.
When it comes to Vojvodina, he conveyed that Hungary will continue with the Economic Development Project, which includes support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The two officials also discussed the holding of the next joint session of the two governments, as well as the signing of the Agreement on Friendly Relations and Cooperation in the Field of Strategic Partnership.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Hungary's commitment to Serbia being part of the European Union and for its support in opening the completed negotiation clusters during the Portuguese presidency of the European Union.
