Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that Serbia has begun the third phase of transformation and that with further digital transformation – green and biomedical – we can turn to next great things and new sources of growth in postcovid time.
Speaking at the closing of the 28th Kopaonik Business Forum, Brnabic recalled that at last year’s forum she proposed that the government start a third phase of transformation, in which our country should base its further growth on new technologies for sustainable development.
This applies first and foremost to energy transition and green economy, and to digitalisation of the health sector and biomedical technology.
I deeply believe that we now have much better opportunities than what we had in 2017 when we embarked on digitalisation, and that green and biotechnological transformation will be much greater by its volume than the digital transformation we are currently witnessing, the Prime Minister stated.
She underlined that since October last year, when she got a new mandate to head the Serbian government, the state has entered the third wave of transformation and that a lot has been done on the legislative level, first of all for changes in the field of energy transition.
Brnabic congratulated the Association of Economists on the successful organisation of the Kopaonik Business Forum, which was held this year in a hybrid format, with the central topic “The World after COVID-19, new sources of growth in changed business conditions ".
