Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with candidates who will attend the Barvalipe programme at the National Public Administration Academy and with representatives of the Opre Roma Srbija movement.
The Barvalipe programme, which will start at the Public Administration Academy today, will be attended by the first group of 22 candidates from the Roma population from the entire country who have higher education and are not employed in the public administration. Through this programme they will improve their professional competencies for the work in public administration bodies.
Brnabic underlined that the goal is for this programme to be transition towards the employment of members of the Roma population in public administration, adding that this represents another important step towards the emancipation and integration of the Roma and the creation of an inclusive society.
The Prime Minister stated that the National Public Administration Academy plays a very important role in the advanced training of employees in public administration, especially training programmes for the young and members of the Roma population, as well as training for employees in the units of the local self-government.
The training for members of the Roma population was developed by the Opre Roma Srbija Civic Movement and the Office for Roma Initiatives of the Open Society Foundation.
The aim of the programme is employment of the Roma and their greater participation in the political and public life. The programme is designed in four modules that cover the basics of work in public administration bodies, digital, communication and managerial skills and will last until 21 August.
