Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced today at a session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth, which she chaired, that the results of the most important economic indicators in all economic areas in the first quarter of 2021 are excellent and better than expected.

Several factors led to good results, it was said at the session, among which are the change in the structure of exports, because more and more high-tech products are being placed abroad, investment growth, especially when it comes to construction of buildings and facilities, and rising prices of Serbian agricultural products, especially crops, on the international market.
Challenges that may arise are in the field of meat industry, given that there have been disturbances on the European and the world markets due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Economic trends remain stable, and the services sector has also continued to recover.
When it comes to tourism, better results are expected in view of the fact that 20,000 vouchers were distributed in just over an hour, in addition to the previous 100,000 distributed in January and that the interest in vouchers is still strong.
