Technical meeting on preparations for opening negotiations with EU to be held on October 24

Head of the Serbian government’s EU Integration Office Tanja Miscevic announced today that the first technical meeting on preparations for opening negotiations on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Serbia-Montenegro and the EU will take place on October 24 in Brussels.

At a press conference, Miscevic pointed out that heads of all three negotiating teams are travelling to Brussels, where they will discuss the calendar and agenda points with the chief negotiator on behalf of the European Commission, Director for Western Balkans Reinhard Priebe.
Miscevic stressed that the first official round of negotiations will take place on November 7 in Belgrade, where the issues concerning the state union – a preamble, political dialogue and regional cooperation, will be addressed, as well as some of the issues in the authority of the two member states.
