At a press conference in the government of Serbia, answering the question regarding the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, which ruled that mandatory vaccination is legal and whether it may be necessary in democratic societies, Brnabic pointed out that the citizens of Serbia have shown to be responsible and believe in their health system and institutions.
She conveyed that between 10,000 and 20,000 people apply for the vaccine daily through eGovernment, and that there is an extremely large number of those who come without registration for vaccination.
We do not have a problem like some countries where people do not want to be vaccinated, she concluded, announcing that the crisis response team will discuss the current epidemiological situation and measures will hold a session tomorrow.
The Prime Minister said that she talks to the medical part of the team almost every day and that she knows what their position is – that it is not yet time to relax the measures, although we are doing well, which should not be jeopardised now.
The numbers are falling, the percentages are better and that is the result of some measures, but to a large extent it is thanks to vaccination, Brnabic pointed out.
