Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic said during the participation via video link in the Second Ministerial Meeting of the Takuba Task Force that the Republic of Serbia has been a credible contributor in UN and EU missions for many years.

Stefanovic underlined that the key political goal of our country is to join the European Union.
He stated that Serbia supports the commitment of European countries to take responsibility for contributing to peace and stability in the Sahel region, in parallel with the efforts they made with participation in MINUSMA, EUTM Mali and other initiatives, as well as to consider their more active participation.
The participants in the meeting agreed that the strengthened security creates the conditions for development, better governance and the rule of law, which are necessary for achieving sustainable peace, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
