Zajecar, 24 March 2021

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that Zajecar is among the leading local governments in which the "My First Salary" programme is being implemented, through which as many as 110 young people got their first job in this city alone in 64 companies.

During the visit to the Factory of Measuring Transformers, which has 227 employees, including 18 young people who got their first job through the "My First Salary" programme, Brnabic pointed out that she wants to support the domestic economy, and above all domestic investors.

Through the mentioned programme, we wanted to give young people a chance to get their first job, which will enable them and make it easier for them to further develop their careers, the Prime Minister explained.

According to her, such programs give young people a different perspective, to stay in Zajecar, to work, develop a career, create families.

Brnabic announced that the plan is to allocate additional funds for the next round within the programme "My First Salary", considering that the result achieved in Zajecar is exactly what is needed and from which it can be seen that the program is good, because which needs to be further developed.

During her visit to Zajecar, the Prime Minister also visited the new vaccination points near the Kotlujevac Cultural Centre, and expressed satisfaction with the progress of the vaccination process in this city, which is slightly above the national average.

Brnabic emphasized that she was especially satisfied with the pace of vaccination in the age category from 65 to 74, in which as many as 46 percent of citizens were vaccinated, which is excellent and important because it is an endangered and priority category.

According to her assessment, work should be done on vaccination of people older than 75, because only 35% of those who received the vaccine are in that age category.

It is very important to do exactly what is being done in Zajecar everywhere, to enter every village, talk to the citizens, the Prime Minister explained and reiterated that we should all mobilize together and ensure that as many old people as possible are vaccinated in order to be safe.

Brnabic once again called on all citizens to be vaccinated, and reiterated that immunization is important for the economy, economy and return to normal life.
