New proposed measures to support work of hairdressers

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with the representatives of the hairdressing industry about the ways to overcome the negative economic consequences that the coronavirus pandemic has left on this branch of the economy.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali and members of the Association of Hairdressing Clubs of Serbia, Nexus Hairdressing Club, as well as representatives of hairdressing distributors.

Representatives of hairdressers expressed satisfaction that through a direct dialogue with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister they can present the problems they have been facing in the past year.

Given the nature of the hairdressing business and the close physical contact it entails, there is no doubt that the hairdressing industry is one of the most affected by the global coronavirus pandemic.

It was concluded that the health of citizens and respect for epidemiological measures is an absolute priority, but on the other hand, through new proposals for economic assistance to the economy, hairdressers will be supported in order to survive and get their business back to normal as easily and quickly as possible.

The meeting is part of the consultations that the Prime Minister and the line ministers had in the previous days with representatives of the industries that are most affected by the negative effects of the pandemic.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister met with representatives of the film industry and cinemas, while yesterday she also talked with associations of restaurant and food service industry, event industry, musicians and artists.
