Brnabic pointed out that the improvement of Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is evaluated as a project of national importance, which will be implemented in parallel with the completion of the Cacak-Pozega highway.
She pointed out that this is of exceptional importance as in this way traffic will be removed from the gorge and the protection of this natural good of the first category will be enabled.
In addition, the expansion of the protected zone of the gorge as a unique morphological whole is planned, which is also an important cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of Serbia.
The Prime Minister explained that the idea is that this area becomes, by the time the Preljina-Pozega section of the highway has been completed, a natural oasis and an important tourist area, which will mark a turning point in economic and tourist terms not only for the City of Cacak, but for this entire part of Western Serbia.
At the meeting it was pointed out that several projects are planned which will be completed by the end of the year, and they concern investing in the development of spa, health and sport tourism, for which this part of Serbia has outstanding potential.
