Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic talked today with US Ambassador Anthony Godfrey about further improvement of agricultural cooperation.
Special mention was made of cooperation in the field of organic food, which sets new records every year, both in production and exports.
Serbian producers recorded higher exports by as much as 30 percent in 2020 compared to 2019, and the United States is one of the countries to which Serbian organic food is increasingly exported, primarily fruits, such as frozen raspberries, blackberries and dried fruits.
Favourable conditions for the export of a large number (approximately 5,000) of industrial and agricultural products to the United States, without customs duties, is certainly a good business opportunity for Serbian producers whose strengthening and placement of goods will be further worked on in the coming period, by joint efforts of Serbia and the United States.
