Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced that more than a million citizens of Serbia have been vaccinated by this morning, sending another invitation to citizens of all ages to apply for immunisation.
Brnabic pointed out that Serbia is approaching the number of one million and 600,000 vaccinations, emphasising that the goal of the government has been fulfilled and that we have reached approximately 95% of those vaccinated from the total number of registered from priority categories.
She said that President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, and the government of Serbia will continue to fight for vaccines, noting that another 500,000 Sinopharm vaccines are expected to arrive tomorrow.
Next Monday, we expect a contingent of Pfizer vaccines and we expect to receive Russian vaccines soon, stated Brnabic, saying that there will be enough vaccines.
The Prime Minister warned that this is not the end of the fight against coronavirus, because the first dose of the vaccine does not mean complete protection.
We have an increase in the number of patients after the first dose of the vaccine because people relax, do not wear a mask, do not respect anti-epidemic measures, said the Prime Minister, adding that it is important for people to maintain discipline after the first dose for at least another twenty days.
That will be crucial in our fight because that is the only way to defeat the coronavirus, the Prime Minister said.
