Government representatives proposed that the Tax Administration halt the procedure of collection of income tax and contributions for all persons who have not been paying them to date, until amendments to the Law on income tax, which should regulate this area in a comprehensive way, are adopted until 1 May this year.
They also proposed that the income tax and contributions collected equal the amount of 43 percent of the income made, and to enable the payment of the obligations from the previous period in 120 instalments (ten years), without interest rate for belated payments, in order to create the best possible payment conditions for Internet workers, while at the same time not undermining the tax system of the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, such a way of payment was presented on a concrete example and it was explained that the unpaid tax in the amount of €5,000 (in dinar countervalue) for the previous five years would fall to €3,000 (in dinar countervalue).
In this case, with the possibility of payment in 120 instalments, without interest rate, the total monthly sum by which debt to the state from the previous period would be repaid would amount to RSD 3,000.
