New FON building will be ready in mid-November

During the tour of the works on the construction of the new building of the Faculty of Organisational Sciences (FON), Brnabic expressed satisfaction with the fact that the works started a week after the declaration of the state of emergency, emphasising that this best speaks of the priorities.
According to her, regardless of the new circumstances, the construction of the new FON building is not late and will be completed on 13 November this year.
The Prime Minister said that health and education are the priorities of the government in terms of investing in infrastructure capacities, reminding that new buildings of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Electronics in Nis have been built, and that another building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is planned as well as the whole complex of buildings of art faculties.
The Prime Minister also announced the laying of the foundation stone for the new building of the BioSense Institute in Novi Sad.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic assessed that FON is perhaps the strongest faculty in the field of management and information systems in Southeast Europe.
Ruzic added that the government is committed to increasing the capacity of FON, which will create the possibility for enrolling a much larger number of students.
The new FON building will have more than 6,000 square metres, and the value of the contracted works is €6.6 million.
