The Council for strategic issues and reforms in the field of education and science was constituted today at the Serbian government, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and co-chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic and Special Advisor to the Serbian President and the Prime Minister for reform of education and science Mladen Sarcevic.

At the constitutive session the Rules of Procedure were adopted and priority tasks examined, which are the adoption of a strategy of development of education and science to 2030, the development of infrastructure facilities, i.e. construction of new kindergartens and reconstruction of the existing ones, construction of apartments for young scientists in Nis, faculties of art, as well as introduction of dual education to institutions of higher education.
Ruzic informed the Prime Minister that intensive work is underway on the project of state graduation exam and that the strategy should be presented to the government early next year.
Sarcevic underlined that the adoption of the strategy is a priority, but also to motivate people to work in the education sector.
