Prime Minister Ana Brnabic opened today the third digital annual conference entitled "Talent Online 3.0", held at the initiative of the Prime Minister and organised by the "Return Point" programme and supported by the national platform "Serbia Creates".

Serbia becoming a country of opportunities for return of talent

The goal of this event is to gather all talents from the diaspora and our country in one place, who will exchange their knowledge, experiences and ideas in an open dialogue.
Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, this year's conference was held in digital format and presented the activities carried out in 2020 in order to create opportunities for the return of our talents from abroad.
In her address to the conference participants, Brnabic pointed out that Serbian transition economy is increasingly based on knowledge and innovation, as well as that Serbia ends this challenging year as a country with the best economic results in the whole of Europe.
She underlined that in Serbia, this year as well, despite all the vander circumstances, the level of public debt will not exceed the Maastricht level of 60 percent of GDP, which is a good pledge for the future.
According to her, in the budget for 2021, RSD 330 billion have been allocated for capital projects and investments, which makes 5.5 percent of our GDP.
The Prime Minister pointed out that she is aware that the decision on return was not made overnight and that because of that, the government worked hard to help our people to break through and return to Serbia with concrete measures.
As some of the measures, she mentioned tax incentives for employment of people from the diaspora and our people who studied abroad, vouchers for the diaspora that were launched in cooperation with the Science Fund, electronic nostrification of diplomas, tax incentives for founding startups and innovative companies.
