Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired today the second session of the Commission for Capital Investments, at which the dynamics of the implementation of ongoing capital projects and the management of capital projects planned for 2021 were discussed.
Brnabic underlined that the Commission for Capital Investments will in the future monitor the realisation of the programme of investment projects "SERBIA 2025".
The members of the Commission informed the Prime Minister about the current projects, underlining the importance of full application of the new methodology, because in this way a uniform system of planning and monitoring of capital projects is established.
In addition, by implementing the legal framework established by the Regulation on Capital Investment Management, Serbia demonstrates its commitment to meeting the objectives of structural reform from the Economic Reforms Programme, one of the most important strategic documents in the economic dialogue with the European Union, i.e. the goals it committed to before the International Monetary Fund.
It was said at the session that among the most important projects in the road sector, the beginning of which is planned to start next year, are the construction of the Fruska Gora Corridor, the sections Nis-Merdare and New Belgrade-Surcin.
On that occasion, it was stated that the good weather encourages construction works and that there are no major delays in that area, and the Prime Minister informed the members of the Commission that the meetings will be held once a month in the future.
