Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today at a video conference with Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
The Russian side informed the Prime Minister about the production of the Russian coronavirus vaccine "Sputnik V".
Manturov confirmed that a batch of vaccine for laboratory control in the amount of 20 doses will arrive in Serbia by the end of this week.
Brnabic said that the government of Serbia, together with the President of the Republic, is working to make the vaccine against coronavirus available to the citizens of Serbia as soon as possible.
She pointed out that the goal is for citizens to be able to choose which vaccine to receive, in accordance with the recommendations and approvals of the competent health institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
The Prime Minister added that Serbia is interested in considering the possibility of joint production of a vaccine against COVID-19.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia, A.A. Bocan-Kharchenko also participated in today's video conference as well as the management of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Russian Fund for Direct Investments, Gamaleya Research Institute and representatives of the Ministry of Health and other competent health institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
