Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today the signing of a contract with the selected contractor for the reconstruction and construction of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina (KCV).
The agreement was signed by Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Executive Director of the Consortium "GH Holding" Gregor Jernejc.
Brnabic said that this agreement has been prepared for a long time and that this is an important moment for further strengthening of the Serbian health care system, which is one of the priorities of the Serbian government.
She expressed her gratitude to the European Investment Bank, which monitors investments in the health system of Serbia, and for working with the government to reach this agreement.
I am looking forward to the day when we will lay the foundation stone and I hope that it will be in 30 to 45 days, when all the conditions are met, the Prime Minister said and emphasised that investing in the reconstruction and construction of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina is part of a larger cycle of investments in healthcare, launched in 2015 as the project "One billion euros in the health system of Serbia".
The Prime Minister warned that the number of people infected with the coronavirus, according to the data received until 12.00, is slightly worse than yesterday at noon, and that the number of deaths is higher than yesterday.
The whole country is in a difficult situation. I call on everyone to understand this fight as a fight of each individual for the whole society, I ask that the measures be respected, that we help the health workers, said Brnabic,
The works on the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina include the reconstruction and extension of buildings B and C of the Emergency-Diagnostic Center, with an area of 33,000 square meters, the extension of a hot connection with the existing clinics within the Clinical Centre, as well as of technical blocks with roads and parking lots.
The buildings B and C will include a surgical block with 16 operating rooms, intensive and semi-intensive care units and a hospital with a total of 348 beds.
