Brnabic pointed out that the improvement of all areas of cooperation with the United States is Serbia's foreign policy priority, and added that this commitment was clearly stated in the programme of the new government, as well as by appointing Marko Djuric as ambassador to Washington.
Serbia is committed to deepening cooperation with the United States through the intensification of political dialogue at the highest level, Brnabic underlined, expressing hope that in the future the two countries will continue to cooperate on projects and investments of mutual interest.
In that context, she especially pointed to the further strengthening of cooperation with the American International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Godfrey expressed full support for Serbia in the implementation of strategic plans and reforms on the road to the European Union, assessing that Serbia has a significant role in preserving the stability of the entire region.
The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to continue working on strengthening and improving economic cooperation, despite the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic will have on the economy.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the United States for the assistance and support it has provided to Serbia in the fight against COVID-19.
