The academy will help us all to be one team and to share the vision of what kind of service we provide to our citizens, Brnabic said, adding that in Serbia, over 50 percent of municipal and city leaders have never been involved in that business or politics before.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the presidents of municipalities and mayors are given the tools to make progress in local self-government as soon as tomorrow, bearing in mind that citizens are the most important.
Another important aspect of the academy is that they come to study and that automatically changes their attitude towards work and responsibility towards the citizens, Brnabic said and pointed out that she has high hopes for the Academy.
Obradovic expressed her belief that the presidents of municipalities and mayors will work on the realization of strategic plans, and that they will equally dedicate themselves to each individual.
The Serbian government and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will be your support and partners in everything that lies ahead in the coming period and when it comes to reforms, modernisation and the creation of an efficient and up-to-date public administration, Obradovic pointed out.
