Japan Bank for International Cooperation interested in investing in Serbia

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of investing in innovative companies in Serbia and supporting their development, after a model which the Japan bank has already built with its investments in the Baltic region.
Brnabic pointed to the importance of good political and economic relations with Japan, with a special reference to the recently signed mutual agreement on avoidance of double taxation.
Maeda expressed interest in supporting the economic development of Serbia through realisation of new investments.
The two officials agreed the continuation of talks at technical level, in order to see the result of high-level talks as soon as possible and in order to support both Serbian and Japanese companies.
Brnabic ended the meeting with an expression of special thanks to Japan for the donation of medical equipment and medicines to Serbia during the coronavirus pandemic.
