The government of the Republic of Serbia announced that a four-day online programme for Serbian startups started today at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre in Moscow.
For the first time, companies from Serbia are participating in a specially created "Skolkovo Softlanding Programme", which is intended for startup companies that want to expand their business to the market of the Russian Federation.
The Skolkovo Innovation Centre started this program last year and has been implemented six times so far, with the participation of more than 100 companies from 35 countries. 13 startup companies from our country are participating in the program, which is now being organized online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On that occasion, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic sent a letter to President of the Skolkovo Foundation Arkady Dvorkovich, and expressed her gratitude for the organization of the "Softlanding" programme for Serbian startups.
In the letter, Brnabic pointed out that digitalisation is one of the priorities of the government, since the previous mandate in 2017, and added that as a result, our country today has four science and technology parks, 15 startup centres, the Innovation Fund and the Science Fund provide support and financial incentives for various innovation projects.
She reminded that she visited this centre last year and that she is sure that the program will be of great benefit to Serbian startup companies and that it will enable even closer cooperation between innovators and entrepreneurs from Serbia and the Russian Federation.
In 2015, Serbia became a partner country of the Open Innovation Forum of this centre.
