National campaign “You Are My Heart” begins

Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic announced that the ”You Are My Heart” campaign, which was successfully carried out in Belgrade last year, will as of today extend to the national level and that it will last for eight months.

Speaking at a press conference, Milosavljevic said that the leading forces behind the campaign are Serbia’s health centres, institutes and institutions for health protection, in cooperation with sporting associations, schools, non-governmental organisations and everyone who is able to assist in the improvement of health in Serbia.
He pointed out that the campaign will be carried out as part of the project “Improving Preventive Health Services in Serbia”, which is being financed by the European Union through the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), whose main aim is to place emphasis on prevention rather than solely on treatment of diseases, as well as on citizens’ greater responsibilities toward their own health.
