Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received today outgoing Ambassador of Japan to Serbia Junichi Maruyama on a farewell visit and thanked him for his dedicated work and cooperation during the three years of his term in office in Serbia.
Brnabic underlined that the joint work contributed to the strengthening of economic and political cooperation between the two countries and underlined that she is particularly happy about increased interest of Japanese companies in investing on the Serbian market.
She added that the way of doing business of Japanese companies in Serbia is a real example of dedication and work ethics, which improves and positively influences our society as a whole.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the historic visit of the then Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, the first in three decades, was very important and raised the quality of relations between Serbia and Japan to a higher level.
Brnabic also expressed gratitude to the government of Japan on sending valuable aid to Serbia to fight the COVID-19 epidemic as efficiently as possible.
Ambassador Maruyama thanked Prime Minister Brnabic on excellent cooperation during his term in office in Serbia and expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries will continue to be on the rise.
