A Czech-Serbian collection of works on the two countries’ relations in the 19th century, called “From Morava to Morava,” was presented last night at the Czech Embassy in Belgrade.
The collection comprises 12 works by seven Czech and five Serbian authors documenting the development of political, cultural, and economic ties between Czechs and Serbs in the 19th and 20th centuries.
It also covers the interest of Czech intellectuals such as Pavel Josef Safarik in Serbian history and culture.
The collection also points out the interest of Czech literary criticism in Serbian literature, theatre, as well as other areas of science and culture and it also describes how certain Czech authors have been interpreted in Serbia.
Attending the presentation were Serbian Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Aleksandar Popovic and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Chairman Nikola Hajdin.
