First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic attended today in Svilajnac the ceremonial awarding of keys to apartments for refugee families within the implementation of the Regional Housing Programme.
On that occasion, Dacic expressed satisfaction with the fact that 15 families from the former Yugoslavia received the keys to their new homes in Svilajnac.
He reminded that within the Subproject 5 of the Regional Housing Programme in the Republic of Serbia, 20 families in Pozarevac and 276 families in Novi Sad recently moved in.
He stated that the European Union is our great ally on that path, but also other great powers, such as the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, which provided us with exceptional help during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we owe them great gratitude for that.
Dacic, who is also the president of the Commission for Coordination of the Process of Permanent Integration of Refugees of the Government of Serbia, once again wished a lot of luck, success and good moments to the families in Svilajnac in their new homes.
