Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that as long as Pristina is trapped in the past and refuses to accept the reality as it is, we will not be able to make a step forward and do something good for the future.
In a statement to daily newspaper Blic, Brnabic underlined that Belgrade is a stable and predictable partner, but that that alone is not enough to find a solution.
Answering the question as to when the solution to the Kosovo problem can be expected, she recalled that there have been many deadlines and bargains with dates, but that all those dates and deadlines have passed, and we are not even one millimetre closer to a compromise in relation to a few years ago.
The Prime Minister said that in general she has no expectations from politicians in Pristina and that she would have them if they implemented and respected the obligations they had committed to.
For years we have been listening to a similar rhetoric in Pristina, the same methods, there are only different names that implement the same policy, Brnabic said, and also expressed her conviction that we have to continue the dialogue and the search for compromise, regardless of all that.
That is important for all people that live, or will live, in these lands. That is important for our future, Brnabic concluded and added that she is grateful to all international actors for the efforts they invest in the solution of this issue, but that she believes that problems in the relations between Serbs and Albanians can be solved only by Serbs and Albanians.
