Investing in food industry important for GDP, economic growth

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic visited today in Arilje the fruit processing factory "H&S Fruits", which is the result of cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, and is a joint project of the domestic company "Stanic doo" from Arilje and Hungarian company "Horizon Food" from Kecskemét.

Brnabic reminded that the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in 2018 in Budapest, after a joint session of the two governments, and added that the goal is for the company in Arilje to have production, processing and a whole chain of suppliers, i.e. to make juices and jams that the Hungarian partner places on the market.

She pointed out that the focus will be on the Russian, but also on the Japanese market, which is extremely demanding, and assessed that this investment is important, not only for Arilje and the Zlatibor district, but for the whole of Serbia.

The Prime Minister pointed out that investing in the food industry is important for our GDP and economic growth, and announced that the government will launch an initiative in the future to hold the next joint session with the government of Hungary.

We should continue the cooperation on this strategic partnership and invite the company "Stanic" and "Horizon Food" to present this positive experience, said the Prime Minister and pointed out that the goal is to have as many such partnerships between Hungarian and Serbian companies.
