First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic talked on the phone with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kenya Raychelle Omamo.
Dacic informed Omamo about the epidemiological situation in Serbia and about the continuous decrease in the number of people suffering from coronavirus, which led to the gradual abolition of restrictive measures and the opening of borders.
The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that the health situation will soon improve in Kenya as well.
He pointed out that Serbia appreciates Kenya's firm and constant position regarding the non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, and that our country is very grateful that Kenya remains consistent and faithful to the basic principles of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
During the talks, they talked about the improvement of further cooperation, and it was agreed that it is necessary to maintain the continuity of political dialogue at a high level, through the inheritance of decades of close and friendly cooperation.
On that occasion, Dacic congratulated Minister Omamo on her appointment to this responsible position, and sent her an invitation to visit Serbia, when the conditions for that are met.
