First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke on the phone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.
Dacic informed Minister Al-Thani about the situation in Serbia, explaining that the improvement of the epidemiological situation has led to a gradual lifting of restrictive measures and the opening of borders.
He expressed hope that the health situation will soon improve in Qatar as well.
The two ministers expressed satisfaction with the developed political relations and agreed that it is necessary to continue the continuity of high-level political dialogue in the coming period.
As proof of good bilateral relations, Dacic and Al-Thani singled out cooperation during the coronavirus pandemic, when Qatar sent medical assistance to Serbia.
Dacic once again thanked Qatar for this help, especially having in mind that it arrived at a time when Qatar itself was facing difficulties caused by coronavirus.
Good cooperation was also achieved in organising repatriation of our citizens from Qatar.
The two ministers agreed that after the stabilisation of the health situation, activities will continue on the further improvement of economic cooperation.
During the conversation, Dacic invited Al-Thani to visit Serbia when the conditions for that are met, reads a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
