As part of the event, the most significant achievements of Serbia-Montenegrin culture will be presented in 13 German cities.
Welcoming the guests, Georg Bomgarden of the German Foreign Ministry, recalled that Belgrade hosted the Days of German Culture two years ago and he stressed the importance of cultural cooperation between the two countries. He called Serbia-Montenegro a “new state but an old culture.”
Serbian Minister of Culture Dragan Kojadinovic and Montenegrin Deputy Minister of Culture and Media Dragica Milic pointed out the importance of organising such events and they stressed Serbia-Montenegro’s openness to presentations of the cultures of other nations as well.
The Days of Serbia-Montenegrin Culture in Germany will include presentations of films, paintings, books, music, and other cultural achievements in major German cities such as Berlin, Dresden, Jena, Stuttgart, Essen, and Hamburg.
Boban Markovic and Boris Kovac are scheduled to hold a concert in central Berlin tomorrow.
