Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar said today that the fourth victim of coronavirus in our country is a woman from Nis, 60 years old, who was a long-time unregulated diabetic.
In a statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Loncar said she had been on a ventilator since 21 March, with a severe form of the disease, noting that doctors had been fighting for her life until the last minute.
The Minister reiterated his appeal to citizens to refrain from contacts, to stay at their homes and to listen to the advice of experts.
By yesterday, there were 21 people on the ventilators, these were severe patients and there were no significant changes until this morning, Loncar said.
According to the latest data, 303 people are infected with coronavirus in Serbia, including two babies.
A total of 54 infected persons were registered yesterday and 152 were infected with coronavirus at hospital treatment.
So far, 15 people have been treated for coronavirus, including one girl with diabetes.
