Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar announced tonight that there are two cases of babies infected with coronavirus, one in home isolation and the other, seven months old, is being treated at the Dragisa Misovic hospital.
In a statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Loncar explained that the first baby is in home isolation and under constant supervision of a doctor from the Institute for Mother and Child.
He said that there have been cases of infected children, but so far with no serious symptoms.
Loncar also stressed that there are a number of infected doctors and health care workers, most of whom became infected through out-of-hospital contact.
According to him, all measures have been taken and everyone in need is in isolation.
