Prime Minister Ana Brnabic today spoke with representatives of trade unions about the effects of increasing the minimum wage on employees with different professional degrees, as well as regulating the level of payroll coefficients through the introduction of payroll grades.

Brnabic emphasised that it is necessary to find a systemic solution for fair and equitable calculation of payment of wages according to the complexity of work, with the assessment that this will best be achieved by introducing payroll grades.
Representatives of the unions presented to the Prime Minister their proposals for increasing the coefficients for administrative and financial workers, so that education workers could be paid more adequately.
The officials concluded that it was necessary to establish basic criteria for improving pedagogical work in primary and secondary schools.
