Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in a meeting with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirozhidin Muhridin that Serbia's intention is to intensify relations and political dialogue with that and other Central Asian countries.
Brnabic emphasised that full membership in the European Union is Serbia's foreign policy priority, adding that our country simultaneously develops and builds good bilateral relations with all partners and friends in the world.
The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to Tajikistan for its support to Serbia in preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its expectation for continued support in this, the most important national issue for our country.
Muhridin confirmed that Serbia can expect his country's support internationally, noting that it is necessary to intensify political dialogue and work together to further improve economic cooperation.
The officials stressed that there is a mutual interest in cooperation in the fields of water management, mining and agriculture, as well as in the field of education and culture, and that signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the two foreign ministries represents a significant step and a new stage in the development of bilateral relations.
Muhridin also invited Prime Minister Brnabic to visit Tajikistan in the coming period.
