The International Colony of Artistic Ceramics “Zlakupa 2005”, which has gathered around 20 academic painters of ceramics from Slovenia, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, ended its work last night.
Using the traditional technique of potters from the Zlatice village, the colony participants have created dozens of modern-style sculptures, thus creating a link between traditional pottery and contemporary tendencies in artistic ceramics.
The work of the colony will be exhibited at the City Gallery in Uzice in November, however art devotees will be able to see them in other Serbian towns as well. The colony was held under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Culture and Uzice Municipal Assembly.
