Brnabic said in a statement that they concluded that the economic exchange between the two countries is improving, recalling that at the end of last year the surplus was on the side of Serbia in both goods and services.
She expressed the expectation that after the meeting she held with representatives of some Dutch companies in Davos, bilateral economic cooperation will continue to strengthen.
The topic of talks with Rutte was the European path of Serbia, as well as of other countries in the region, explained the Prime Minister, adding that during the meeting, she stressed that the Serbian government was providing full support to regional partners, especially North Macedonia and Albania, for the start of EU accession negotiations.
The Prime Minister stated that she once again invited Rutte to visit Serbia, which he confirmed and emphasised that the best date will be by the end of this year.
Brnabic also met yesterday with President of Japan Bank for International Cooperation Tadashi Maeda, to discuss the opening of the bank's investment fund in Serbia.
She stressed that there were concrete talks on some initiatives, with the expectation that they would be confirmed during his visit to Serbia by the end of the year.
Until Maeda's visit to Serbia, Serbian and Japanese teams will discuss how the Japan Bank for International Cooperation can open an investment fund in Serbia, especially in the area of innovation and startup companies, and how that fund can cooperate with the Serbian Science Fund, the Prime Minister specified.
