Brnabic indicated that the government is already working on implementing new measures.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the particle concentration is close to the average values for this time of year and there is no reason to worry about the current state.
Among the priorities is the adoption of the National Emission Reduction Plan (NERP) at the government session, which will verify previous activities and define new targets.
It was agreed to grant subsidies for the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles and, in this context, to install high-speed electric chargers at key corridor sites.
The priorities include the afforestation of Serbia, and the line minister, Goran Trivan, emphasised that this is already underway and that everything is ready for the coming period of tree planting in the territory of the whole country.
The group also discussed finding ways to convert as many urban heat plants as possible from fossil fuels, such as fuel oil, coal and fuel oil, to biomass.
The meeting was attended by line ministers Zlatibor Loncar and Aleksandar Antic, Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic, Police Director Vladimir Rebic, as well as representatives of relevant republic and city institutions.
