The donated medical equipment includes an ECG, a defibrillator, a steriliser, a blood analysis device, and other medical equipment and furniture.
The Japanese Ambassador recalled at a press conference, held after the handing over ceremony, that the Japanese government had donated medical equipment to the Cacak health centre worth $71,618 back in 2001.
He also said that the Japanese government has donated 25 ambulances with medical equipment to 15 health institutions in Serbia-Montenegro from 2001.
The Assistant Minister of Health Sinisa Gradinac said that Japan has allocated more than $14 million in donations to the Serbia-Montenegrin health sector in the past four years.
